Help Wanted. We are still looking for help in the clubhouse and out on the golf course. If you or anyone you know is interested in some hours at MCC please let encourage them to fill out an application.
The next breakfast is Sunday April 18 hosted by Deb & Doug Vermeer, Amy & Brandt Vermeer, Mindy & Doug Johnston, Lorna Christensen, and Wayne Davis. This crew always puts out a great meal and is well attended.
New Calendars are here. Thank you to Sutherland Printing for the new calendars, and score cards that they delivered last week. The calendars are a great source of revenue done by a first class printer and we appreciate it.
The New Point of Sale (POS) system is up and running. We took delivery this week and it is a lot easier for our staff, and especially our volunteers to operate. Thank you to Sheryl Freeborn for getting this system programmed and operating. I also want to thank her for all the financial duties that she performs. We are very lucky to have her commitment and expertise helping us, and we appreciate it immensely.
Fairway Mower upgrade. Our Progressive Fairway mower is about 20 years old and is starting to be unreliable, meaning downtime and on going expense. Our Golf Course Superintendent, Matt Hamilton, started looking around and found a mower that is coming off lease from Turfwerks that they are familiar with. The $8,000 investment represents about 35% the cost of new, however there are no new mowers even available. The Board approved the purchase at their meeting Thursday night. This will go a long way to avoid timely breakdowns for our guys who do a great job on our course.
Ladies Restroom improvement. It was suggested by one of our members that we should replace the toilet in the ladies room that is too short. In looking at ADA requirements, the top of the seat must be 17 to 19 inches and the current one is about 15. The Board decided to go ahead with it, and the Ladies Card Group is going to donate it. Thank you to all the Ladies for that and the other things you do around the clubhouse.
Have a good week.
